KITTY CLAP KLUB
Synopsis: Set over one chaotic Halloween evening, Kitty Clap Klub follows the dancers and staff of a rough-around-the-edges strip club as they prepare for their busiest night of the year.
Backstage, tensions are already running high. Chantelle, glamorous, enthusiastic and spectacularly misguided, is determined to make money and impress the crowd. Maisie, meanwhile, is juggling period cramps, mounting debts and an increasingly threatening landlord. Their formidable boss Sharon refuses to tolerate excuses, while Darren, her anxious husband and the club’s choreographer, desperately tries to keep rehearsals from descending into chaos.
When Maisie storms out shortly before the doors open, the atmosphere turns increasingly hostile. Then the performers discover that their Halloween costumes have disappeared.
With the club’s biggest night hanging in the balance, accusations begin to fly, secrets threaten to surface and a last-minute attempt to save the show pushes the evening into full-blown farce.
Kitty Clap Klub is a fast-paced ensemble comedy about money, loyalty, humiliation and the desperate lengths people will go to keep the show on the road.
